Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
The short version: we collect what we need to run Nestmark, keep your saved work in sync, and understand how the app is used so we can make it better. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
This policy explains what information Zukisan Labs, LLC (“Zukisan Labs,” “we,” or “us”) collects when you use the Nestmark app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information
You can plan jobs without an account. If you create one, we collect your email address and a user ID. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real email. We don’t ask for your name. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and we never see them.
Content you save
Materials (including any prices you enter), cut lists, cuts, and job history that you save are stored with your account so they’re available on your devices. If you plan a job without saving it, the job itself isn’t sent to our servers.
Purchase information
Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of what you bought, such as whether you own Nestmark Pro, through RevenueCat, linked to your user ID. We never receive your payment card or billing details.
Usage and performance information
We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how Nestmark is used and how well it works. This includes:
- which screens and features you use, such as starting a job, viewing results, or exporting a PDF;
- when the app is opened, installed, or updated, and errors the app runs into;
- basic device details, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and language; and
- your IP address, which PostHog may use to estimate a general location such as country or city.
This information is tied to a random identifier created by the app and, if you sign in, to your account’s user ID. It does not include the text you type into Nestmark, such as job names, labels, material names, or calculator entries.
Crash reports
If Nestmark crashes, Google Firebase Crashlytics may collect a crash report so we can find and fix the problem. A report includes the technical state of the app when it crashed (such as which code was running), device model and operating system version, app version, a random installation identifier, the names of the last few screens and actions you used, and your account’s user ID if you’re signed in. Crash reports don’t include the text you type into Nestmark.
Session recordings
In the released app, PostHog may record how you move through Nestmark’s screens (often called session replay) so we can see where things are confusing or broken. Text fields and images are masked while you type, but recordings can show other things on screen, including measurements and names you’ve entered, such as a material or cut label. They don’t capture your network activity or logs.
This website
The Nestmark website doesn’t use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts, and its fonts are served from our own site. Our hosting provider, Google Firebase Hosting, may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
2. How we use information
- To run Nestmark: manage your account, save and sync your Library and job history, and unlock what you’ve purchased.
- To understand and improve Nestmark: see which features get used, find and fix bugs, and measure performance.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To keep Nestmark secure and prevent misuse.
We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t sell or rent it to anyone.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help run Nestmark, and only for the purposes above:
- Google Firebase for sign-in, storing your saved content, and crash reports (privacy information)
- RevenueCat for purchase status (privacy policy)
- PostHog for product analytics and session recordings, with data stored in the United States (privacy policy)
- Apple for App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple (privacy policy)
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, sale, or similar transaction, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
4. No tracking
Nestmark doesn’t use your device’s advertising identifier, doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and doesn’t share data with data brokers.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account and saved content are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account in the app (Settings), we delete your account along with your saved Library and job history.
- Usage information, session recordings, and crash reports are kept for a limited time and then deleted under our providers’ retention settings (Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days). You can ask us to delete usage information linked to your account at any time.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat as needed for things like restoring purchases and meeting legal and tax obligations.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can use Nestmark’s planning features without an account.
- You can delete your account and saved content at any time from Settings in the app.
- You can email us to ask what information we have about you, or to correct or delete it.
Depending on where you live, such as California, the European Union, or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights, like receiving a copy of your data or objecting to certain processing. We’ll respond to requests as the law requires. We don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
7. Children
Nestmark isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
8. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
9. Where information is processed
Zukisan Labs is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app or on this page.
